Layering for North Indian winters, the smart way
By the Mukesh Garments team · · Updated · 3 min read
Thin layers beat one heavy sweater. How to stay warm on foggy mornings and comfortable by afternoon.
Winter in Haryana swings from freezing mornings to mild afternoons. Layers let you adjust through the day.
Start with a thermal
A thin thermal under a shirt or kurta adds warmth without bulk — and it's invisible.
A middle layer you can remove
A cardigan, sleeveless sweater or Nehru jacket is easy to take off indoors. For women, a shawl or stole over a suit does the same job, and dresses it up.
An outer layer for the cold
Keep a proper jacket or coat for early mornings, two-wheeler rides and evening functions.
Don't forget the kids
Children lose heat faster. A cap, socks and a zip-up jacket they can manage themselves make school mornings easier.
